Cultivated by JAS-certified producers. Oba, which means "big leaf" in Japanese is the leaf of Shiso commonly found in Japanese cuisine. It is served with sashimi and sushi because it is a natural antiseptic or yakitori. Shredded Oba leaf can be used as flavourful garnishes for your soba or pasta in place of parsley. Some of Oba leaf benefits are antioxidants, as well as anti-inflammatory.
